Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.
The bay is a short drive from
Spanish Town via a dirt road. The bay is usually fairly
quiet and peaceful with a long stretch of pure white sand
joining up with Pond Bay. The bay faces north east so it has
the advantage of plenty of shaded areas from overhanging
trees.
As you stand on the beach and look out to sea, there is a
reef to the left and a sand bar to the right which can cause
a rip current under certain sea conditions which can
dangerous for swimming. A fabulous beach, but don't swim
alone. |
