Caribbean Map

The island has two major towns, Christiansted and Frederiksted. The total population is around sixty thousand people of which the the largest town of Christiansted has a population of some three thousand.

Locals refer to themselves as 'Crucians' and many local people emigrated from neighbouring Puerto Rico over a thirty year time period just before and just after the 2nd world war.
